Feeding Healthy Kids

Does the dinner table feel like a battlefield . . . where no one ever wins? Are you tired of trying to find something your child will eat? Maybe you are concerned about your child's weight. If you have questions about how and what to feed your child, check out our free workshop series on feeding a healthy family!

These workshops will teach you that both you and your child have a specific job to do regarding their feeding. If you simply focus on doing your own job and leave them to do theirs, it leads to more peaceful meals, less stress for the parents, and a healthier relationship with food for the child.

This series consists of three seminar-style workshops. The first lays the groundwork for the other two, but even if you have to miss one, still come to the others! Each class is run by a registered dietitian.

All workshops are held at 7:00 pm
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints

March 19 - The Feeding Relationship
Based on the work of Ellyn Satter, The Feeding Relationship defines the role of both parents and children at mealtimes. Understanding this division of responsibility is the KEY to peace at the dinner table and allowing your child to develop a healthy relationship with food. **This workshop lays the groundwork for the "picky eaters" workshop!

April 2 - End the Dinner War
Do you have a picky eater? Are you tired of being a short order cook? In this workshop we share tips and advice on how to prevent and reverse the vicious picky eating cycle - and when to seek outside help.

April 16 - Nutrition for Kids
Do you worry about whether your child is getting enough of the right things, or too much of the wrong things? This workshop addresses the nutritional needs of children and how to determine if your child is meeting his needs - and what to do if he is not.
